Meet Bridget Sloan

Bridget is the youngest daughter of Jeff and Mary Sloan. She has three older siblings: Kyle, Kassie and Nathan. She is an honor roll student at Tri-West Hendricks High School in Pittsboro, Ind. She recently attained her goal of making the U.S. National Team and hopes to represent the U.S. in competitions. She participated in the Rock'n'Roll Gymanstics Tour with Paul and Morgan Hamm, Carly Patterson, Shannon Miller and many more.

Why Root for Her?

Bridget had her break out year in 2005, where she qualified for her first USA Gymnastics National Championships and qualified for the U.S. National Team. A last minute decision to compete as a senior at the 2007 Visa Championships set the stage for Bridget to make her first World Championships Team. At the Visa Championships, she was second on floor exercise and fifth in the all-around. At the 2007 U.S. Classic, she won the all-around, placed second on the uneven bars, and third on vault, balance beam and floor exercise.

Performance Record

  • 2007 FIG World Championships team reserve member
  • 2007 Visa Championships floor exercise silver medalist
  • 2007 U.S. Classic All-Around champion, uneven bars silver medalist, and vault, balance beam, floor exercise bronze medalist
  • 2006 Visa Championships balance beam bronze medalist (Jr. Div.)

The U.S. Gymnastics Team trials take place in June 19 to June 22 in Philadelphia, PA.

I love the Olmpics. I'm looking forward to watching them!...it will be cool to have learned a little about a few of the athletes beforehand, have someone to cheer on.
