by Michele Cheplic

The next time you brush off an invitation to attend a yoga class because you think you're too old to twist your body into a pretzel, think about Bette Calman.

Athletes Embracing Yoga

by Michele Cheplic

You don't have to be a Hollywood actress, a college-coed or flexible fitness fanatic to excel at yoga, just ask the dozens of athletes (professional and amateur) who have discovered the benefits of this ancient exercise option.

Popular New Exercise Equipment

Have you ever seen a new product and asked yourself: "Now, why didn't I think of that?" I mutter that question each and every time I run on the treadmills at my local gym and peer into the step aerobic classroom. The gym recently acquired a few dozen of those new Slanted Risers.

The Perfect Yoga Mat

by Clarissa Adkins

If I had it my way, I would probably play nothing but Ravi Shankar in the yoga classes that I teach. His beautiful sitar playing, which is considered classical music in many circles, epitomizes what I feel when I practice yoga.

The Yoga Path - Confidence

by Clarissa Adkins

01 Feb 2007 01:04 PM

I recently wrote about how yoga has changed my life. In that same article, I promised to share more of this journey with you. Self-esteem has been an issue throughout my life. I wasn't the most joyful teenager in high school and as a young adult I was often dipping into bouts of depression.

Rushing to Get to a Yoga Class

by Clarissa Adkins

21 Jan 2007 10:44 AM

Countless times I have rushed myself and my son through the house trying to get to a yoga class. Unfortunately, when I'm on my way to teach the class, I have been known to get even more intense about the time. Everyone who knows me knows that I hate to be late.
