Monsters & Ghouls & Workouts Oh My!by Heather Long | More from this Blogger 31 Oct 2006 10:26 AM Good morning and Happy Halloween - if you're like most families, you're probably laying in the candy to hand out to the trick or treaters tonight. Be sure to incorporate some other items to give out so that you aren't overloading the kids with too much candy. Little canisters of play-doh or other small toys like plastic rings are a great idea for the trick or treat crowd. Still others of you are probably going to be on the run getting the kids ready for their Halloween parties at school (not to mention that school is going to be on the mind of the many as well). There's also the work related events, for example, at my husband's office they are inviting the families and children to come up this afternoon to trick or treat throughout the halls and visit the decorated offices and more. Fitness Tricks & Treats With this in mind, here are a few trick or treat ideas for the fitness minded. After today, we're officially into the holiday season on a race towards Thanksgiving (that's only three weeks away) and four weeks beyond that is Christmas. So keep these tricks and treats close to your heart to protect your fitness as you head into the holiday season.
Yes, this is the advice you will receive from most beginning fitness programs, but therein lies the trick. You know what you need to do - so treat yourself this holiday season and work on maintaining your fitness while reaping the benefits in one of the warmest, fun parts of the year that should be shared with friends and family. Pass the treat on and get your friends and family involved in it with you. There's certainly nothing tricky about that.
