When you are 6'3" and play for the L.A. Clippers most people assume you are in tip-top physical condition. Apparently, that's not the case if you are Baron Davis. The NBA player is coming clean, telling the world about his struggles to maintain his weight and physicality.

The 29-year-old basketball star admits that during the NBA off-season he has a tendency to let his fitness regime slide. Davis says once the season ends so does his daily workouts. In a candid conversation with news reporters the pro athlete admitted that he rarely cooks during the off-season and ends up "pigging out" on take-out and junk food while lounging on his sofa.

His favorite pig-out food?

"Definitely Mexican," Davis reveals. "I go to Pinches Tacos in L.A., start with a carne asada burrito, and work my way down the menu."

And that's the other thing; Davis confesses that he has a problem with portion control, saying that he can devour thousands of calories in one sitting. But even after downing the equivalent of three meals at one time he says he still can't find the motivation to exercise afterwards.

Enter Jenny Craig.

Yes, Jenny Craig. The Jenny Craig. The same Jenny Craig Kirstie Alley, Valerie Bertinelli and Queen Latifah turned to when they needed help losing weight.

Craig's new celebrity recruit is none other than Baron Davis. The pro basketball guard is the new man on the Jenny plan. Davis says he started the plan last month to get into shape for the upcoming basketball season.

"I know Queen Latifah, and when I saw her out there using it, I thought maybe I could use it, too, to work on my health and fitness goals and inspire others," Davis told news reporters.

Davis plans to reveal how much weight he has lost on Jenny Craig during a press conference in L.A. on Friday. In the meantime he says he wants to get the word out that Jenny Craig is not just for women. Davis says eating right has given him "a lot more energy" and has inspired him to hit the gym with new enthusiasm. He starts practicing with the Clippers later this week and he says he plans to increase the intensity of his workouts so he can be lean in time for the new season.
