Spring Challenges: Just One Month to Go

by Heather Long | More from this Blogger

Good morning, it's Sunday and whether you have plans to go to Church or kick back and relax for the day or doing chores or some combination thereof, I wanted to give you a heads up. We'll be turning our clocks forward an hour sooner this year than we did last. In fact, our Spring Forward time change occurs at 2 a.m., Sunday - March 11th - that's literally one month from today.

What Does That Mean to the Fitness Blog?

Because we'll be springing forward an hour on March 11th, we'll also be launching our Spring Forward to Action Challenge. I hosted this challenge last year with some mixed results, but I'm looking forward to hosting it again this year. Last year, the challenge was 30 days long, this year it will be 28 days - 4 weeks to be exact.

My goal for those four weeks is to give you the tools and the motivation to create the workout plan that will help you achieve your own goals. I will provide workout tips, suggestions and even a schedule. You can choose to follow it and you can create your own goals for your workout. We'll be focusing our Dear Heathers for that time period on answering reader questions.

For Myself Personally

My greatest goal for this year's Spring Forward to Action is to help you create one positive workout habit that will allow you to achieve the goals you set for yourself. So with a month to go, I want you to consider what goals you'd like to achieve during our Spring Forward to Action Challenge. I'd like to hear your stories, the more I know, and the more I can provide you with the specific ideas and answers to meet your personal challenges.

So - what can you do for now? Plan, think and begin deciding on your goals. I'll be launching a forum topic where we can chat and I can get a feel for what you are interested in doing and achieving. In the meanwhile, I'll let you get back to your Valentine's Day planning and weekend rest.

Do you have goals for the Spring Forward to Action Challenge?
