Spring Forward to Action 30-Day Challenge - Day 15: Cardio Training

Happy Easter! As we started circuit training on Friday, we're going to continue that trend as we move forward. Today is pure cardio and you can perform your cardio indoors or out. The important focus on your cardio should be getting your heart rate up and sustaining it.

Ready? Be sure to hydrate both before, during and after your workout. Set aside about 30 to 35 minutes. Keep plenty of water on hand as you get started whether you are going to work it out indoors or out. Choose one of the following and let's get started!

  • Treadmill Incline Workout - 30 Minutes
  • Treadmill Speed Increase Workout - 30 minutes
  • Stationary Bicycle - multi hill workout - 30 minutes
  • Outdoor walking 1 to 2 miles - 30 minutes
  • Outdoor jogging 1 to 2 miles - 30 minutes
  • Outdoor cycling - 30 minutes

Remember, these are only suggestions. Because we are going to Scarborough Faire today, we will spend most of our day walking around on uneven terrain. I will be substituting this for my cardio workout. While it's unlikely I will hit my target heart rate, the length of time spent walking will substitute for it nicely. Have a great rest of your Easter and if you elected to take today off as part of your holiday! Enjoy yourself.

Continue to hydrate throughout the day.
