It's been a crazy week and I have some new stories to share for next week, including the fact that I picked up a new bike this weekend! I was fortunate enough to discover one that a friend wanted to sell at a garage sale and instead of being out a hundred for a new bike; I picked it up for just $15! I love a good bargain that lets me pursue my fitness ideals. In the meanwhile, here is our week in review: Saturday, April 14 Have you ever wondered about fitness club Memberships: Why is it so Hard to Cancel Them? It's one of the drawbacks to signing up for a membership with anything much less a fitness club, because once you've joined - it seems almost impossible to end the membership. Sunday, April 15 In honor of tax day, we took a look at the great opportunity for many taxpayers sitting in the Ways and Means committee of Congress. The Fitness Tax: Personal Health Investment Today Act could be a boon for paying taxpayers. Check out this article and encourage your congressmen to invest in this. Monday, April 16 Looking for some great Fitness Tips: Low-Budget Workouts are the way to go. In the meanwhile, we dive into the Spring Forward to Action 2007: Week 2, Day 1 with a review of the day's workout, motivations and more. Tuesday, April 17 Tuesday was a bit of a crazy day around here, but we covered our workout in Spring Forward to Action 2007: Week 2, Day 2 Wednesday, April 18 Dear Heather ... Back Pain and Walking addressed a reader's concerns about pain in their lower back following their daily walks. There are things that you can do to help with this type of problem, however, a person should never eliminate seeing their physician where pain is concerned. In Spring Forward to Action 2007: Week 2, Day 3 we continued our exploration of a daily workout with some amendments for schedule. Thursday, April 19 Two Weeks: How to Stick It illustrates why two weeks of a workout are important to achieving your goals. Because in two weeks you can create a positive habit and the positive feelings associated with a workout that will help to encourage you to continue in your workout. Friday, April 20 I've found a great lead on a bike on that can help me pick up the pace when it comes to my workouts. On Friday, I spent the day substituting in the library and in Spring Forward to Action 2007: Week 2, Day 5 I illustrated how my workout went for the day, by using my pedometer and such.
