The Fitness Week in Review: November 6-10by Heather Long | More from this Blogger 11 Nov 2006 07:24 AM It's been a busy week here in the Fitness blog and we've been working hard to bring you as much fitness information as possible: Monday, November 6 We started the week with 10 Reasons to Be Thankful for Fitness including the fact that Daily cardiovascular exercise because it helps me cope with stress and anger, I always had an anger management problem as a child, but daily exercise seems to release a lot of that tension and keeps my anger in check. In Women's Fitness: The Challenge of Mothers & Daughters discussed the fact that mothers have a dramatic impact on their daughter's perceptions of themselves. Tuesday, November 7 Kid Fitness: Red Light, Green Light discusses how we can teach our kids to eat healthy and to make healthy choices by red lighting the bad choices and green lighting the good ones. It's easier than some parents may think and just takes making it a game. Wednesday, November 8 I Have a Confession to Make began a journey for me that's been 20 years in the making as I announced my attempts to stop smoking. In Stop Smoking: Exercise Can Help, exercise is a good component to incorporate into your stop smoking program because it helps you to cope with your stress and helps prevent the weight gain often associated with stopping smoking. Thursday, November 9 In 10 Reasons to be Thankful About Stopping Smoking continues chronicling thoughts and feelings with regard to quitting smoking. The cravings are still there, but I'm already thankful for quitting. In Family Fitness: Get Back Up the challenge is to meet the exercise needs of your family. Friday, November 10 In Day 3: I'm Still Not Smoking chronicles the feelings I experienced as I headed into 72 hours without a cigarette. There are some tips and ideas to help you cope with the craving and to push past them. In Friday Fitness Funnies: Stopping Smoking took a lighter, humorous look at quitting smoking and all the positive ways to channel defeating the addiction. What was your favorite story this week?
