by Heather Long | More from this Blogger

Good morning and Happy Saturday to you. We covered a lot of ground this week in the Fitness blog and whether we were talking about workout programs and trends or losing weight at your desk, we've been tackling a lot of topics. The temperatures are continuing to drop and several areas saw their first snow this week, so look forward to some snow based sports information and working out in frigid conditions.

Sunday, October 15

In Budokon or Pogo Bootcamp? What's around the next creative corner? We talked about all the changes in the fitness industry that are taking place to address boredom with performing the same fitness routines over and over. In Tai Chi Heals Body & Mind As You Age we talked about the fact that there is a relationship between the practice of this martial art and the health of the elderly. In 10,000 Steps May Not Be All That we discussed that the 10,000-step program gets people up and moving, but they need to keep it brisk and not just focus on counting steps.

In Kid Fitness: Flexing the Mind we addressed that there are plenty of exercises that can help older and younger children alike. Finally in Why is Joining a Health Club Hard? In Maintaining Fitness in the Holiday Season we addressed that the holidays are fast approaching and it's important to keep fitness in mind in light of the stress and more. In Yoga & Yoga Fitness Balls we talked about the ways yoga and yoga fitness balls can improve your overall fitness and add to your workout routine.

Friday, October 20

In Want to Lose Weight While Sitting At Your Desk? we talked about a number of different ways you can increase your calorie burning while sitting at your desk. In Friday Fitness Fun Quotes we looked for some inspiring nuggets day by day and these pearls of wisdom are both fun and inspiring. In One Size Does Not Fit All (Part Deux) we revisited a discussion that we began back in March about the fact that marketing One Size Fits All does not appeal to the modern audience and demographics.
