2012 Black Friday Opening Times Released!

Although the kids haven’t gone back to school in my part of the country, yet, we can already look forward to Christmas shopping. That is because many stores have already released the 2012 Black Friday shopping times, that is the hours that the stores will be open on Black Friday. Black Friday is known as the busiest shopping day of the year. While we have traditionally seen stores opening with Black Friday deals at 6am, and some at midnight, it looks like a few will even be open on Thanksgiving itself. So if you really want to snag the best … Continue reading

A Cyber Monday Sale, Already?

Where you will be shopping this weekend? There are plenty of random sales going on. The trick is to find them before the sale is over. This blog can help you to do that. Target is following up their “Bonus Black Friday” sale with an equally cleverly named “Summer Cyber Week”. Target says: “Save like it’s Cyber Monday all week long!” This is a sale that is only happening online, and not in the stores, (as you may have guessed). Target is offering different sale items each day from now through July 28, 2012, when this sale ends. Kohl’s is … Continue reading

Sales Happening This weekend – November 5, 2011

This is the time of year when stores start having weekend-long sales, in the hopes of attracting customers who are thinking about shopping for holiday gifts. Some of these sales end when the weekend is over. Other deals will last a bit longer. November just got started a few days ago, and already, it feels like Black Friday is almost here. Retailers this year are not being shy about letting people know when they plan on opening for the biggest sales event of the year. Some stores are having sales weekends, and starting good deals, right now. Hallmark is having … Continue reading

How did it get to be the end of August already? Your kids have either recently started school, or they will be doing it very soon. This could be the last “Back to School” deals blog of the season. Some of these coupons, deals, and sales, are for this weekend, only! The start of a brand new school year means it is time to buy new school clothing, new school supplies, and new backpacks and lunch totes. For parents, this is one of the most expensive times of the year. Fortunately, there are some deals going on right now that … Continue reading

I’m a Cyber Monday Mom

When it comes to Christmas shopping for my children I am a little different than probably most moms. First of all, in general I do not enjoy shopping. I am not a “mall mom,” one of those types that trek to the mall every-other-week. In fact, I probably get to the mall about once a year. In fact, I so dislike shopping that several years ago when my husband and I took a trip to Mexico he did the entire bargain shopping and finagling with the sellers. I just tried to hurry him along. So needless to say I do … Continue reading

Dear Heather, I Was Wondering …

Last week, I mentioned this new feature in the fitness blog addressing the questions from readers. We’re making the countdown towards Christmas and some of our questions this week were from readers about shopping for fitness gifts and ideas this holiday season. So you’re standing in the middle of Toys R Us and you’re staring at this absolute plethora of games, video games, toys, dolls and more. You want to give your child a great deal of opportunities. You want to give your child the chance at a better world, a better one than you have known and ultimately you want to leave to them what you know. Ut oh – Is it already Friday? How is the shopping going?

Wow, is it really Friday? We’ve got just 16 shopping days left till Christmas and retailers are pulling out the big guns to get you into the store and shopping. Be sure to check out their fitness equipment sales, you can often times find good equipment as much as half off around the holidays, but before you go out and buy a treadmill for your spouse or an elliptical machine for your sibling – make sure it’s something they want. There’s nothing that screams ouch like giving fitness equipment to someone who doesn’t want to highlight their own weight issues … Continue reading
